2012 is here, and what an exciting year it is going to be! All of our staff are back in the office working hard towards a jam packed event season. Now is the time to stick to your resolutions, or make new ones if the old ones didn’t work out, and come along to join us in any of our fun packed events this year. It’s never too late for a new start, so let’s tell you about some of the events we are working on at the moment with further ones being added regularly.

We are very excited to announce that we have been engaged, once again, by BBC Radio Lancashire to organise a ride in aid of Sport Relief, for the one and only Graham Liver! This will be a week long cross country ride that will see Graham broadcast his daily morning breakfast show before hitting the road on his tandem! Lets hope the sun shines from 19th March for Graham.

The Scottish Bike Show Sportive
Sunday 15th April

This is Scotland’s newest mass participation cycle event, that takes in the wonderful scenery of the Trossachs and Loch Lomond.

Beach to Beach – Bournemouth to Brighton ride
Saturday 19th/Sunday 20th May

Fancy a challenging two day cycle ride along the picturesque south coast and stunning countryside of Hampshire and Sussex?

BHF London to Brighton night time ride
Saturday 26th / Sunday 27th May

Ride 60 miles through starlit countryside, leaving the hustle and bustle of London behind you, and let the breaking dawn lead you to Brighton's Madeira Drive.

Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool ride
Sunday 8th July

We are proud to present our longest running event. Come along and be part of the 19th anniversary celebrations!

Join over 2,800 riders in one of the only cycle events in the country to include nearly 3 miles of underground riding, and have a fun filled family day out!

Cycle Live & Gt. Nottinghamshire Bike Ride
Friday 13th – Sunday 15th July

This is a very exciting development from the Great Nottinghamshire ride we have been organising for several years. We have created a weekend Festival of Cycling based in Nottingham, further increasing participation opportunities.

freshnlo Pedal for Scotland
Sunday 9th September

We are also very pleased to announce that we have once again been awarded the contract to deliver the Pedal for Scotland event for the next 3 years! The ride will take place on Sunday 9th September this year, and is Scotland’s biggest ride!

The Pendle Business Awards
Friday 27th April

We are delighted to be organising this high class Olympic themed evening, on behalf of Pendle Borough Council, to celebrate the high performing businesses within the area.

Blackburn School Road Shows

Working alongside Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, we will be bringing fun and informative cyclng roadshows, along with our Cycle Powered Smoothie Maker, to schools within the area throughout the season, click here for further information.

Pennine Staff News

Whilst most of us are keeping warm in the office, Mark Sandamas was enjoying a new year Ski holiday in St. Anton, where they have experienced the heaviest snow fall for 20 years! Don’t worry though, Mark and friends had an excellent time in the deep powder.

Barely back in the office and Suzanne White and Alison Abbott have had to dig out their wellies and waterproofs to attend a 2 day outdoor first aid course in Cumbria, well it wouldn’t be as much fun if it was warm outside would it!
