Freedom Series Guided Rides

The Freedom Series of Guided Rides are organised and led by the local cycling clubs, taking newcomers, families and enthusiasts alike on easy-paced rides around the area. The programme runs from April to September.

The cottages4you Pendle Cycle Fest is now in its 6th year and this one promises to be the biggest and best one yet. The very best of British cycling will be coming to this lovely part of East Lancashire to do battle over some of the best cycling territory in the country.

Elite Racing

National Elite Men's and Women's Road Race Championships

With the National Road Race Championships being held as part of the Festival we shall see the only racinsg appearance of the new Sky Pro Road Team on these shores. But can they triumph over the best home-based riders, on Sunday 27th June?

National Cyclo-Sportive

National Cyclo-Sportive (formerly Pendle Pedal 2009)

Making it an absolute feast of cycling activity and entertainment, we have moved our popular Pendle Pedal and now re-titled the National Cyclo-sportive, it will take place the day before the Road Race Champs from the same start & finish.

Racing action is not confined then as the annual Colne Grand Prix brings thousands of spectators to the streets of this town to watch the excitement of the National Elite Series. Previous winners have included Chris Newton, Russell Downing, Dean Downing and Ian Wilkinson, all internationalists.

Complementing the racing action are activities designed to encourage cycling and inform.
