The National Road Racing Championships are taking place on closed roads, however there are lots of viewing opportunities for spectators along the way and a fantastic event village.

 

There will be lots of action and family fun so don't miss out!

 

 Race action starts at 8.30 for the Women's Championship and 12.30 for the Men's Championships.

 

 

Main Access

 

Main Spectators Car Park, off Ridge Lane, near Roughlee

 

Directions from the West: M65

  1. Head northeast on M65 toward Exit 13 (413 ft)
  2. At junction 13, take the A682 exit to Nelson/Kendal (0.2 mi)
  3. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit,
  4. Through Barrowford for approx 1ml
  5. Turn left up Pasture Lane beside White Bear pub
  6. Follow Pasture Lane up for approx 1 mile to brow of hill then left where signed into car-park site.

Directions from the East: A59, Skipton

  1. Head west on A59 up until Gisburn
  2. Turn left onto A682 Gisburn Rd
  3. Continue to follow A682 (1.2 mi)
  4. Turn right up Pasture Lane, beside White Bear pub
  5. Follow Pasture Lane up for approx 1 mile to brow of hill then left where signed into car-park site.

 

Pedestrian Routes

There are pedestrian routes from the Main Spectators Car Park along the cycle route, to the vantage points and to the event village (see map).

       

 

Alternative Access from the North

 

To view the north of the route, a Park and Ride is operating from Downham.

 

Directions to access the North of the Route

From the North (A65, Settle) to Downham:

 

  1. Head southeast on A65 (3.1 mi)
  2. Turn right at A682 (7.0 mi)
  3. Turn right at Main St/A59 Continue to follow A59 (4.5 mi)
  4. Turn right at Sawley Rd (0.6 mi)
  5. Take the 2nd left onto Downham Rd (0.3 mi)
  6. Continue onto Chatburn Rd (0.7 mi)
  7. Slight left at Twiston Lane
